Foreign relations

In Russia, the administration in charge of leading the relations with other States is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the policies this ministry tend to take are usually borned by the conflict of three currents. These are, the Atlanticists, that want closer relations with United States and the Western States, Imperialists that seek to expand their dominion and recover some Status and finally the Neo-Slavophiles that promote the isolation of Russia.

After the fall of the Soviet Union, an Atlanticists ideology was predominant in the foreign relations, but this was very criticised and with a new Minister in the administration (Yevgeny Primakov), a more nationalistic approach was considered.

Related to the relations of the actual president with other States, he is seen in the western media as an autocrat but he has said many times that with many former presidents from States like Germany, France, United States or Brazil he has friendly relations.

His actual relationship with United States can be complicated, according to this site https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_relations_of_Russia he has claimed that the result of the use of hyper force of the US is that  "no one feels safe! Because no one can feel that international law is like a stone wall that will protect them. Of course such a policy stimulates an arms race."

The media in the Western States despite Vladimir Putin as a villain because reason like, the conflict in Syria, because of Moscow’s interference... etc

On the contrary, in Russia he has won the elections twice and he is considered by many a nation's hero.
